What is with the Title?

So let's start with the Title: Atypically Typical Me.

This blog will contain information of my struggles, high points, low points of a "typical" college life.  But, with a twist.  I'm trusting in the Big Guy Upstairs for everything.

What does this mean?

You see, everyone knows that college is a time of searching, wondering, finding out who you are; but too often we college students seek this "enlightenment" in the wrong direction.

We test to see "who we are" by going out to wild raging parties doing things we later regret, or don't remember.
We hook up with people every weekend only to be left feeling more empty, and filled with more confusion as to what we're worth.
We set our minds on things of this world that matter at the time, and end up ruining things later.
We don't know how to say no.

Now, I'm NOT here to preach, and like I said, this blog is going to talk about everything, the highs and the lows.

But what I will be doing, is narrating my experiences while taking an atypical approach at college life, trusting that Jesus will work out my hopes in dreams, help with my struggles, my best days, my worst days, my ugly days, my emotional days, as I do my best to surrender to Him.  I'm not perfect, I'm not an expert, but I'm also not interested in a lot of the heartbreak that comes with living the "typical college life".  So here this is, Atypically typical me, a story of living life on purpose, for a purpose, to be a light in this crazy messed up world we live in, being a positive influence in any way I can.

Love,
Atypically typical me.
